Knowing what to wear, especially during the holidays, is always of great importance for women. Some, for example, have already their whole ensembles (dresses, matching shoes and other accessories) planned a whole month before an important occasion.
But not everyone has the luxury of time or money. So for those who still want to look presentable in the hottest holiday party of the year, here are some great young fashion tips to take note of:
- Black, Really, Will Forever Be the New Black
It doesn’t matter if you’re going to a Halloween party, family Thanksgiving dinner, or Valentine’s date. You can never go wrong in wearing this color.
That old little black dress which you’ve had last year will still look chic this year. A sleeveless black top paired with skinny jeans and black stilettos or knee-high boots make a striking statement, however artless the whole outfit is.
If you have nothing that’s black in your closet, it’s time to go online fashion shopping because these outfits are must-haves!
- Keep It Simple Then Accessorize
Another great young fashion guideline to live by is to keep it simple when it comes to your clothing and then go crazy with the accessories.
If you’re off to a Western themed party, wear the usual plaid button up shirt and match it with denim pants or skirt. But find something to make the whole traditional look more interesting like hot pink Stetson hat or tasseled vest. If you were invited to a wedding and you don’t want to follow the motif, choose a monochromatic shade and then wear colorful gemstones on your ears and neck. These accessories would be statement pieces which everyone else will surely ask and talk about.
- Go Online for Inspiration
No one really needs a stylist now that there are sites like Pinterest on the internet. All you need to do is type the holiday party you need to attend and you will see related photo posts from other fashion aficionados all over the world.
- Open New Tab and Go Shopping
Once you have found the look which you want to reproduce, open a new tab and start online fashion shopping. Aside from seeing great finds on the net which you wouldn’t usually see in the department store, you’ll get amazing discounts too if you shop online. Also, imagine the freedom of not having to weather the traffic and hop from one store to another just to find the perfect outfit. If you shop online, your items will be delivered right at your doorstep.
- Comfort First
Last but definitely not the least; go for the outfit which is comfortable and something which you will have a good time wearing. You’d see models and fashion gurus parading in the weirdest get-ups but they look hot because they are very convinced that they look good wearing it. If you’re not comfortable with the outfit, you won’t be confident about yourself and you will end-up feeling self-conscious all the time.
